Clinic Descriptions:

7 Wonders of the Horse World
This clinic offers a clear grasp on the foundation for good horsemanship and riding. Now that you have a horse that's decently broke and respectful, let us help you start to work on his and your training in the saddle! You will finally understand what feel, timing, collection, control, natural aids, straightness and Rhythm mean when you go home. This clinic's goal is to put in plain English what all these things are. The clinic format includes some discussion time, some time on the ground and practical application in the saddle. At the end of the clinic there will be a question and answer time, plus each rider will get one on one time to meet with the instructor about how they did throughout the day and will be sent home with a written plan of "homework" to work on prior to returning for more lessons or clinics.

Horse Fair Boot Camp
This clinic is specificially designed for the Horse 4-H member preparing to compete at the 2009 Jackson/Josephine County Horse Fairs. Members of all clubs are welcome. Riders will be prepared for all events they plan to participate in at fair. This will be a fun and skill building week! Each rider will be sent home with homework to work on prior to competition and the instructor will be available by phone and email to answer any questions or problems that may come up. Coaching during fair week is also availabe for a discount rate when your child takes this clinic for just $30 for the week instead of $50. Coaching will be arranged in the warm up pen with the utmost of respect given to other influences on their riding such as leaders, mentors and parents.  Our students did very well last year taking Champion and High Point titles!

Equi-Soccer:
Introduce your horse to a fun new game where he can learn through constructive play! Gain more control and communication with a lot of laughing and good clean fun! 11-1pm: introduce your horse to the ball, safety check and practice. 1pm-? Teams will compete head to head, each horse/rider or team will play 2 practice games, game three will be a random drawing for team mates jackpot game! You do not need to have a team formed to attend.

Equine Stretching & Massage:
This is an introductory course for basic maintenance and minor strain/injury therapy for horse owners of any skill level. Safety and proper technique will be the focus of this clinic.

Conscious Horsemanship Level I:
Is the foundation for our program. This clinic is suitable for horses of all ages, who have at least been started under saddle. Groundwork and riding is covered in this informational clinic on gaining control of the 5 key body parts for unlocking your horses true potential whether it is for recreation or competitive riding. Focus on the rider's aids, cues, balance and rhythm will also be included.

Conscious Horsemanship Level II:
Building on the foundation of Level I, this will take the skills mastered in the first course and expand on them. Transiions, obstacles, and advancement of aids, balance and cues. Now that you have gained more communication with your horse we will build confidence between horse and rider with more challenging tasks. obstacles, and direction (steering).
